By popular demand, MI now offers gene expression laboratory services. Best known for our experience of 12+ years in microarray production and assay development, we've expanded our laboratories to bring our expertise to your experiments.
RNA expression profiling allows for simultaneous investigation of thousands of mRNA transcripts creating a global picture of cellular function with analysis yielding a list of differentially-expressed transcripts among the processed samples. Well-designed transcript profiling experiments serve to characterize the expression of known mRNA transcripts from groups of samples in a highly cost-effective manner. Several platforms are offered to meet your experimental needs. Contact MI for a quote specific to your project needs at info@microarrays.com
Now, MI offers complete laboratory services for gene expression microarray assays using MI DNA Microarrays
and state-of-the-art hybridization methods and technologies. Both 1-color and 2-color hybridization formats are available using
Our laboratory personnel follow detailed and validated Standard Operating Procedures beginning with sample receipt and processing to ensure the highest level of accuracy, reproducibility, and integrity of your results. The quality of the experimental data can be directly attributed to the quality of the samples you provide. Please follow the provided guidelines to facilitate successful preparation and shipping of your samples to MI.
Samples must be prepared and submitted with proper documentation. Instructions are included in the Sample Submission Form. A copy of the form must be submitted along with the samples.
All RNA samples undergo quality control screening consisting of concentration verification by Qubit fluorometry and Agilent Bioanalyzer for quality analysis to ensure sufficient quantity and integrity and freedom from interfering contaminants. MI Gene Expression Microarrays: Microarrays, such as the MI ReadyArray, MI PathArray, or OpArray are purchased directly from MI. Custom array projects may include array printing services using any of the genomic probe resources available through MI, with your custom materials, or a combination of the resources.
Each sample for expression profiling is submitted to MI as total RNA in buffer at the concentration and volumes specified below. RNAse-free water, 10mM Tris, Qiagen Elution Buffer, and RNAlater® are all acceptable buffers. If you wish to use a different buffer, please contact MI for guidance.
Affymetrix GeneChip® Expression Arrays: Users may purchase their own reagents and arrays directly from Affymetrix with shipment directed to MI or send these items along with the submitted samples to MI. Most Affymetrix cartridge arrays are sold in packs of 2, 6, or 30. Cartridge array reagents are sold as either 10 reactions or 30 reactions.
